Description
At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – give short descriptions of models of the atom according to Thomson and Rutherford – name the components of the nucleus and determine their charges – describe spectrum analysis – state Bohr's postulates – calculate the radius of the n-th orbit in an atom of hydrogen, given the radius of the first orbit – calculate the energy (in electronvolts) of an electron located in the n-th orbit and the energy emitted or absorbed when the electron moves from one orbit to another – explain the symbolic notation of a nucleus – give the definition of an isotope.
